Welcome to Chief Sullivan’s

Chief Sullivan's is a neighborhood Irish pub in San Francisco's North Beach, named after revered SFFD Chief Dennis T. Sullivan — a true San Francisco hero who perished in the catastrophic 1906 earthquake. Chief Sullivan engineered the San Francisco Auxiliary Water Supply System (AWSS), the backbone of the city's emergency water infrastructure to this day. We carry his name with pride.

We serve quality cocktails, draft beer, and wine in one of North Beach's most welcoming rooms. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday — mimosas, Bloody Marys, and more.

Chief Sullivan's is San Francisco's official Notre Dame Fighting Irish Supporters Club. Game days here are an event — join us.

Planning a party, fundraiser, corporate happy hour, or Bay Area sports watch party? Chief Sullivan's is a North Beach favorite for private events of all sizes. Reach out and let's make it happen.
